ROLL CALL - Councilor Jacobs, McNabb, Hunter, Dempsey, and Mayor Carnicelli – Present.
City Staff present: Assistant Corporation Counsel Nancy Hussey, John Salomone, City Manager, City Clerk Debra McCormick, Vijay Mital, Director of Planning and Economic Development, Maria DelloStritto Secretary to Mayor and Council.
Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
Presentations and Proclamations – Mayor Carnicelli read a Letter of Commendation congratulating the Auburn Pop Warner Pee Wee football team, parents and coaches on the team becoming NYS Division II champions. Most all members of the team were in attendance. Coach Tony Tabone accepted and thanked the Mayor.
Presentation of Petitions and Communications – Clerk read.
First Reading of Ordinances and Local Laws
Work Session – Mayor Carnicelli introduced the Manager to review the Executive Summary of the City Council Strategic Planning Workshop held in November. Mr. Salomone reviewed the document and summarized plans to address council’s priorities. Council discussed.
Other Business - None
Public to be Heard –
Sam Trinca, Oak St. spoke to tell council that Auburn is a good town and he hopes plans to improve Genesee St. will make it look like South St.
